How to use the dice roller
From d4 to d100, with D&D presets
1. Choose your die and quantity
d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100 — roll up to 20 dice at once.
2. Roll or pick a preset
Advantage, Disadvantage, 4d6 Drop Lowest, or 8d6 (Fireball) in one click.
3. Read and copy
Each face shows on its own card, with the total highlighted — copy the notation with Shift+Enter.
What this dice roller does
D&D-specific mechanics, not just a d6
All the polyhedral dice

Advantage and disadvantage
2d20 keeping the higher or lower roll, with the winning die highlighted.
4d6 drop the lowest
For character creation — the discarded die is marked automatically.

Confusing advantage with rolling two separate dice
Advantage means 2d20 keeping the HIGHER result — not the sum of both.
Adding instead of dropping on 4d6
The correct method drops the lowest of the four dice before summing the remaining three.
Confusing d100 with two d10s added together
It's a combined result (tens + ones), not a direct sum — 00 and 0 together equal 100.
Why use this dice roller
It covers D&D-specific mechanics — advantage, disadvantage, 4d6 drop the lowest — that a basic Google dice roll doesn't offer.
It uses the Web Crypto API for cryptographically secure randomness, statistically identical to rolling physical dice, not a simple Math.random().
Advantage vs. Disadvantage
The most-used mechanic in D&D 5e
Frequently asked questions
A standard set includes 7 dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and a percentile d10. This online dice roller simulates all of them, so you don't need physical dice to play or test rules.
